HELLO AGAIN

Tuesday, October 30, 2007 by Frank

I'm back! It's been a hectic two months (as evidenced by my lack of posts). Since the release of our album, which as of lately is available at both Mag:Net Cafe's, It's been really crazy. With all the promotions and gigs we've been doing, thank God I still have a little time for myself.

Last September I celebrated my birthday. It was relatively quiet compared to my previous ones and I think is much better. The slower pace suits me much better these days. I guess it's a sign of getting older. I did end up in Capone's for a gig but didn't party as I used to.

Though quiet, I got quite a lot of loot for my birthday; care of Angela and her family. They all know I play drums for a living and know how passionate I am about it, so naturally they all gave me drum gear. Her mom bought me a pair of brushes that I've needed. Johann surprised me big time by giving me a Gibraltar double-pedal kit; something I never expected but have wanted. Then my one and only bought me a really beautiful looking and sounding Paiste 20" Alpha Dry Ride cymbal that I desperately needed for gigs. You can actually say now that I'm sponsored by the Ruiz family. Haha!

Speaking of sponsors, another thing that happened that month was Overtone became endorsers of Samuel & Kevin apparel. I love their stuff. It fits my personal style perfectly. You guys should check them out.

A lot more things have happened and I'll eventually write about them in separate posts. It's nice to be back.
